Orbit is inviting customers in Erith to take advantage of free, expert support to help them find work, change careers, or return to employment.
‘Job Club’ runs on the second Friday of every month from 10am to 3pm at the Orchard House Community Hub, Erith and offers friendly, practical advice in partnership with the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) to help jobseekers take their next step with confidence.
The sessions are free to attend and no booking is required — simply drop in on the day for support on a range of issues including:
- Writing CVs and completing job applications
- Searching for jobs effectively
- Practising interview skills
- Learning digital skills for job hunting
- Building confidence and connecting with supportive people
- Sharing ideas and motivation with fellow jobseekers
Lucy McGovern, Head of Community Investment and Successful Tenancies said: “We know that finding the right job or getting back into work can be challenging. Our Job Club provides a welcoming space where people can build skills, gain confidence and get practical help to move forward with their career aspirations.”
