This is an accessibility statement from Orbit Group. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.

Measures to support accessibility

Orbit Group takes the following measures to ensure accessibility of the Orbit Group website:

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. The Orbit Group website is non conformant with WCAG 2.2 level AA. Non conformant means that the content does not conform the accessibility standard.

Compatibility with browsers and assistive technology

The Orbit Group website is designed to be compatible with all major web browsers and operating systems.

The Orbit Group website is not compatible with:

Accessibility limitations

•    Controls changing appearance when they are selected.
•    Descriptive alternative text for images.
•    Providing a way for users to skip blocks of content.
•    Every page and content table containing a top-level heading.
•    All form controls having labels.
•    PDFs being tagged so assistive technologies can interpret and navigate their content.
•    All PDFs having a descriptive title set in its document properties.
•    Long PDF documents including bookmarks to provide quick, structured navigation.
•    All interactive components on a page, such as buttons or menus, being far enough apart from other interactive areas, to avoid them being used by mistake.
•    Content being written so that everyone can understand it.
•    Fields identifying what their purpose is programmatically to allow browsers to help users fill in forms with known information, such as their name and email address.
•    The contrast between user interface components, graphics and adjacent colours being at least 3:1.
•    Contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for all text, except large text at ratio 3:1 (large is greater than 14pt bold or 18 pt).
•    Specifying the language of every page.
•    All id attributes on a page being unique.
•    All field sets containing a legend which describes its contents.
•    Using unique, descriptive link text.
