“We are delighted to have delivered over 2,000 high quality and good value homes in the last financial year. We continue to supply a range of housing tenures for people living across the midlands, south and east of the country.
“The need for more affordable and better quality housing is clear. Around 60% of our new homes are for affordable and social rent, and for the second consecutive year we have completed over 500 homes for shared ownership.
“Over the next 10 years we will work with our partners to build a further 20,000 new homes, contributing to the UK’s housing growth and most importantly deliver affordable homes in thriving communities where people are proud to live.”
Of the 2,030 homes developed from 1 April 2017 to 31 March 2018, 1,954 were for Orbit with a breakdown of 1,210 built for affordable and social rent, 539 for shared ownership, 199 for market sale and 82 for private rent.
Orbit also delivered a further 76 new homes on behalf of partners as part of the 2,030 new homes total.
