Orbit Homes, one of largest builders of affordable housing in the UK, has successfully agreed six land deals in the last quarter.
The new sites will see the delivery of more than 450 homes across the Midlands and East Anglia, with completions expected throughout 2022 and 2023. The developments will be a mixture of open market sale, social rent and shared ownership.
Commenting on the deals, Regional Managing Director for Orbit Homes Midlands, Andrew McDermott, said: “We set ourselves ambitious targets to deliver more affordable new homes every year and these land deals show the progress we’re making. Despite the challenges of the past year, we have adapted and continue to seek suitable areas for our latest developments, supporting both our mission to build thriving communities and to help address the critical lack of affordable housing in England.”
Land has been secured for homes to be built in the Midlands in Bearley, Shipston-on-Stour, and Warwick. While in East Anglia, Haddenham, Easton and Great Plumstead will all feature new developments.
Orbit Homes builds a variety of homes and tenures, with developments ranging from small schemes in rural villages, through to large urban regeneration projects.
