Orbit and CLC Group joined forces to support Stratford-upon-Avon Foodbank this Easter

Local housing provider, Orbit, continued its long-running support for Stratford-upon-Avon Foodbank with a large donation of chocolatey-treats this Easter.

Easter eggs and chocolates were collected by Orbit colleagues and given to the charity to share with local families in need. The donation follows Orbit’s support of the foodbank’s fresh fruit and vegetable pilot, most recently with a £500 donation.

Orbit was joined in its collection by one of its suppliers, CLC Group, who contributed additional Easter eggs, as well as essential food items.

Kate Morris, Manager of Stratford-upon-Avon Foodbank, said: “Orbit are fabulous longstanding supporters of Stratford-upon-Avon Foodbank, giving us support all year round in a number of different ways. Joining together with CLC Group and focusing on Easter treats was really appreciated. This has meant that every adult and child receiving food from us in the lead up to Easter has also been able to receive the treat of an Easter egg – thank you!”

Cheryl Flavell, Place Area Lead for Orbit, commented: “Stratford-upon-Avon Foodbank is an invaluable support for many people living in the local community, so we are committed to supporting its work where we can. We know that Easter can be a difficult time for those in need, so we wanted to help support their efforts by offering a small gesture over Easter. We hope that our contribution, in partnership with CLC group, will help to bring a little bit more joy this Easter.”

Stuart Lilley, Divisional Branch Manager for CLC Group, added: “It is lovely to give back and support the communities we serve. During my meeting with Cheryl and her team, it became clear that CLC can make a significant impact on the community by working with the Orbit group. I am looking forward to collaborating with them to achieve a positive effect.”

Stratford-upon-Avon Foodbank is based within the Fred Winter Centre, where Orbit also has a Better Days hub which offers face to face support to customers who need help with a range of issues such as managing finances, health and wellbeing, employability and skills.
