Orbit has launched a new series of community events as part of its Better Days programme to engage and support its customers to have a positive start to 2024.
The events will support customers with free advice on issues including mental health, money management and employment.
The programme of national events begins on 1 February when Orbit will be supporting Mind’s ‘Time to Talk Day’, inviting customers to join them at community venues across the Midlands, East and South of England to start important conversations about their mental health in a safe and supportive environment, with advice on hand from Mind and other mental health organisations.
Then throughout February and March, customers are being invited to ‘Kickstart’ their 2024 at a series of events taking place across the regions where they will be able to meet their local Orbit team and access support on issues such as debt management, mental wellbeing, interview and job searching skills.
The new events, which will be held at Orbit’s Better Days hubs and other community venues, compliment Orbit’s ongoing winter wellbeing support programme currently being run in partnership with fuel poverty charity National Energy Action to offer guidance to people struggling with their energy bills.
Helen Gleadell, Better Days Manager for Orbit commented: “We’re delighted to be starting 2024 by engaging with our customers through a new series of community events. We know that lots of our customers are still feeling the impact of the cost-of-living crisis, but through the support that our Better Days programme offers we hope that we can help people to navigate any challenges that this year may bring and empower them to make positive changes that impact their long-term wellbeing.”
