John Wrighthouse

John joined Orbit in November 2021 as a member of the Group Executive Team and leads the agenda for Orbit’s people, communications and brand.

John has a wealth of knowledge and experience of operating at Executive and Board level, with over 30 years working with FTSE100 and 250 businesses and regulated organisations, both in the UK and internationally. He has a passion for creating places that deliver outstanding customer service through highly skilled and motivated colleagues who are at the heart of a successful business.

Previous roles have included Shell Energy Retail (formerly First Utility), Homeserve, Clinton Cards and Nationwide Building Society, where he successfully steered the organisation to the top position in the prestigious Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For list. For the last 10 years John was a non-executive director and chair of the remuneration committee for The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association. He is a pension fund Trustee Director for Guide Dogs Pension Fund and also the Nationwide Pension Fund.
