Orbit is celebrating its award win in the Most Improved Asset Management Service category at the annual National Housing Maintenance Forum (NHMF) Awards that took place at the NHMF Annual Conference & Awards dinner at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole.

The award was achieved through the work of our Property Compliance teams which over the past two years, have applied new ways of working specifically designed around the Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA) cycle.

The NHMF Awards recognise success and ingenuity within the housing sector, showcasing projects and organisations that have excelled in improving the quality and efficiency of the services they provide.

Commenting on the award success, Neil Yeomans, Head of Property Compliance at Orbit, said: “This award is a particularly special one to us because it shows just what we can achieve when we all invest our focus together to deliver excellent customer safety.

“Whilst it was the Property Compliance team who received the award, we would not have been able to do this without the support from many other teams across the Orbit family.

“Our view of leading the sector is that we should show others how we do what we do, and encourage change across our industry to improve the safety of people across the country so we are delighted to receive requests for other organisations to come and learn from us.”

The fundamental change in Orbit’s approach is that it has focused on how to keep its customers safe, whether that is fire safety, water safety, lift safety, gas safety, asbestos safety and playground safety, to make sure that it has a plan to keep customers safe, and then deliver it.
