St Anne’s Quarter: Top marks from retired teacher who has found the perfect place for retirement

If you want to be in the heart of a thriving city, while still enjoying the peacefulness of a private riverside complex – there is no better location than St Anne’s Quarter. Located right on the waterfront and a short distance away from Norwich city centre, St Anne’s is the ideal place for working professionals to relax and enjoy their retirement

Retired teacher Graham Gambin, offers his positive experience after purchasing his stylish new two-bedroom apartment, through Orbit’s shared ownership scheme…

In May this year, Graham, 68, moved into his new Orbit shared ownership home at St Anne’s Quarter in Norwich.

Graham had previously owned six different properties and prior to St Anne’s, he lived in a sheltered retirement apartment in Norwich. However, after budgeting for a shared ownership deposit he began looking at properties in Norwich city centre.

Following his research of local developments, Graham chose to purchase a ground floor two-bedroom apartment at Orbit’s new St Anne’s Quarter.

St Anne’s is in a much sought-after area of Norwich and is ideally located a short walk away from bars, restaurants, shops and public transport.

As a keen traveller who has visited over 52 countries, Graham wanted a property which felt safe and secure while he was away.

The St Anne’s complex can only be accessed with a key fob – which gave Graham peace of mind. In addition, each homeowner also has a further key fob to get into their individual apartment and controlled access to the underground parking zone.

Right from the outset, Graham was impressed with the specification at St Anne’s. The high-quality interior design, sophisticated architecture of the buildings and his apartment’s large French doors were a huge selling point for Graham.

All the properties at St Anne’s benefit from a fully inclusive specification and are modern, light and airy. Many of the homes also have fully decked and glazed balconies or terraces, with several attractive communal terraces and landscaped podium gardens to enjoy.

Commenting on his experience with Orbit, Graham said: “The development’s community feel, attractive design and superb location are what initially attracted me to St Anne’s Quarter. I have now been settled in my ground floor apartment for over five weeks and I am extremely happy with my choice. St Anne’s is a fantastic complex with lovely views and communal green spaces.

“For those who are feeling daunted at the thought of moving, don’t be - the Sales Team here at St Anne’s are brilliant! The whole process from start to finish was very easy and efficient. Emma and Sarah were a pleasure to work with.

“I would definitely recommend Orbit to those purchasing through shared ownership or those looking for a relaxing place to enjoy retirement. I had high expectations to meet, but I can honestly say the team at Orbit matched, if not, exceeded them! My new apartment is exactly what I was looking for – well done Orbit!”

The St Anne’s Quarter development is ideal for, but is not exclusive to, those looking for a place to settle after retirement. One of the benefits of St Anne’s is that there is a mix of young professionals, couples and the over 55s living in the same development, which all helps to build and create a thriving community.

St Anne’s is a collection of stylish two-bedroom apartments which are modern light and airy, all benefiting from a fully inclusive specification, terraces or balconies and allocated parking. There are also communal terraces and gardens.

Prices start from £235,000 for a two-bedroom apartment and properties can be secured with a deposit of 10% or as small as 5% by using the Government backed Help to Buy Scheme.

Properties are available to buy now for immediate occupation.

Virtual tours and videos of Orbit’s St Anne’s properties are also available upon request.
