Orbit welcomes new Chief Technology and Information Officer to its Executive Team

Orbit, one of the UK’s foremost not-for-profit housing groups, has welcomed a new Chief Technology and Information Officer to its Executive Team.

Liz Robson, who joined Orbit on 1 July, will be responsible for IT, data and programme delivery, and will lead the development and delivery of Orbit’s combined technology and data strategy as part of a brand-new role for the organisation.

Liz commented: “It’s an exciting time to be joining Orbit as we embark upon our newly set out 2030 strategy. Technology is key to achieving a seamless, omni-channel service that’s easily accessible for customers and to provide colleagues with the tools and data that they need to deliver our vision of providing amongst the best customer experience of any housing association in the country.”

As Chief Technology Officer at Central England Co-operative, Liz led the digital transformation of the Society, overseeing the rollout of solutions to improve the customer experience, including D365, streamlined in-store customer self-service and membership app. Before that she held digital leadership roles at Halfords, the Very Group, Homebase & Habitat, RAC Motoring Services and Siemens Enterprise Communications.
